Fort Lauderdale opossum control

We are opossum control professionals, and experts in what we do. We are not your typical Fort Lauderdale pest control company - we never use poison, for one. Trying to use poison to get rid of opossums will not work, as these animals are not insects. Instead, we provide complete and PERMANENT solutions to rid your property of opossums for good. We solve your opossum problem forever, by following these steps:

  • Inspect the entire property, ground to roof, and the attic
  • Seal shut all entry areas, no matter how small, with steel
  • Set several traps in the house and around your property
  • Remove all opossums as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more caught, we're done
  • When necessary, we clean feces, replace insulation, and repair chewed electric wires

Fort Lauderdale possum removal tip of the month: About opossums: Appearance, biology, life cycle, habitat, diet, behavior - Opossums are the only North American marsupial, meaning they carry their young inside a pouch called a marsupium, which is synonymous for “double womb.” While there are several dozen different species of opossum in North America, the most common one in the United States is the Virginia opossum. Growing upwards of 3 feet in length, the average opossum weighs 6-20 pounds, and has a body typically darker than the face in color, with the face being white or light grey. Opossums are scavengers, and they will eat just about anything they can find, but they have been known to hunt smaller creatures like insects, rodents, and invertebrates. Breeding for these animals occurs year round, and a single mother can have upwards of 25 pups per litter. While only about half of these will survive to maturity, they start to leave the mother at around 4 months of age. The opossum is prey to many different animals; however, it is naturally resistant to most venoms and common diseases in the animal population.
